Outfit lab: cognac cutout booties (K/R, again)

A couple of days ago I posted a thread on new pair of cognac cutout booties that I was unsure about keeping. I was originally thinking of getting a sleeker pair like the Seychelles attached, but was tempted by perfect ankle fit of these booties which almost never happens. The majority of comments said that the booties may be a bit too rugged for my style and to try them in a couple of outfits before deciding.
So, here is a bunch of potential outfits. The first five are with jeans, based on various Angie's ensembles. Because of the light taupe straps I could match them with taupe belt in addition to cognac. The second set of five outfits is with skirts/dresses/shorts to take advantage of the nice ankle fit.
So, the question now is I guess would these outfits look better with sleeker cognac booties. Chances are pretty high that the second set of outfits would not work with sleeker booties at all because of the ankle fit.
Also, while the thread is about booties, please feel free to suggest any improvements/comment on the outfits.
(Please excuse all the wrinkles, I pulled out a lot of the fall clothes from the storage and haven't had the chance to iron yet).

The booties look killer, and bookend your hair just beautifully. You styled them to perfection. I meant to tell you how perfect the fit was in your original thread. Sorry I missed it.

They look maximal - but you do have a maximal footwear streak (you like footwear with bells and whistles as much as simpler styles) - so it works with your style persona. They are also harder edged. But you quite like that at times too.

My only concern is their practicality for your climate. A fully covered bootie is more versatile. That's all. What do you think?

Wow, Tanya, you are a style mistress! I am having trouble judging the booties because I am so in love with some of the outfits!

I really especially adore 3, 4, 8, 9, and 10.

I think I prefer the booties either with a knee length (or longer) skirt, or with shorts, or else with a pant that is close to the same depth of tone. But that may be purely personal.

I guess my only question is like Angie's -- will the cutouts bother you when the weather turns?

I really like them with bare legs (so, all the skirt and shorts outfits) and with the white and burgundy pants. I am not liking them as much with the jeans and I think it's because the contrasting color cuff on the jeans plus all the straps on the boogie are just too much horizontal lines going on down there.

How do you feel about contrasting socks with them a la me or Anna? Because that allows me to wear my cutout booties in a wider temperature range.

Thank you very much for your input Angie, Suz, and Diana! And Angie, please do not worry about missing the previous thread, you can not possibly get to all of them and I am really grateful for your input here.

I am glad to hear that overall the booties are getting positive reviews. I am also having similar concerns about cutouts and weather. But I am currently leaning towards keeping them anyway because I already own enough covered booties and I have an old pair of tall flat cognac boots as well. These booties would work for at least four months here, September/October, and then April/May barefoot, so I think that should be enough.
Diana, I honestly have not thought about contrasting socks at all, but it is an excellent idea! I am going to give it a try for sure and decide whether I like the look.

I really like all the bare-legged versions as well. [And for me, the way the lighter straps tone in with your skin color to offset the typical bootie cut-off would be a nice bonus.]

Because the straps do add extra elements, my favorite look with pants is #5, with the roll hitting lower -- but my bias is against too many horizontal elements in one outfit.

Did you try #1-4 with less/no ankle showing and hate the way the straps were covered up? I do love all the color/texture pairings you've done with those.

Great outfits! Look like keepers to me, especially in spring/fall transitions when an airtight boot isn't required.

Like Diana, i prefer them with a bare leg. The skirt looks are fab.

In the winter, i just add tights. So that might prolon the wearing period for these booties?

You've done so well as styling them that it's hard for me to judge - but I still feel they might be a little too light and not a rich enough color somehow.
