Outfit creation challenge. Two jeans looks.

Here are two looks from this week. I wore these to work and to buy a new laptop - in short supply - but I poured water all over mine!!

We are working from the office and home ( some purely from home).

I also tried one look with the coat I am considering.

The pink sweater look I think needs a tweak - I look very tired I know. I feel like it is current or is it dated? The sneakers scarf and bag were all Italian purchases last April/May. Hard to believe isn’t it.

2 is not dated! Very cool. The scarf really adds some zing. But I can see it as a little different in style from your other two outfits.

I love the colour and neckline of your red top. Really good on you. I like it with the brown coat too.

Thx Smittie - It almost feels like a 1990 private school Mum look ( this is what the landed gentry Mums wore in the UK in 1994 when I was a nanny). I love scarves but am not the best at wearing them confidently.

I don't think the pink sweater look is dated -- and I love how you have played with the pink and yellow scarf and brought in the yellow bag for extra interest. Bee (I think it was Bee?) raised a question a while ago about hair as an accessory/part of our style. I wonder if you would feel differently in the pink sweater look with your hair down? Oh, and how are you enjoying the jacket as you play with it?

I like suntiger's suggestion to experiment with the scarf a bit, too. It's such a fabulous way to bring interest to the look.

I think you are right Carol - my hair is the problem. I have a short neck so
Hair down is overwhelming - but tied is a bit “boring” here. Sunglasses or reading glasses or maybe the scarf in the hair a la Jackie O!

Ditto on the darker jeans/pants for #2 - stronger contrast and easier to go with black/white colors in scarf.
Love your pink/berry sweater in #1 - very interesting shape and works so well with new coat in #3!

I agree that changing up your hair in 2 would give it a lift. Also, you could wear your big sunnies. Then you’d look very Jackie O with the scarf.
I really like the cut of the VM top with the jeans. I’ve always been a bit fearful of that style. But it looks very streamlined and sharp on you. I might give it a try too! (Looking for ways to support VM and Cue in the next few months as they are my favourite retailers.)

Haha Angie! Would love to have you and I would make either orange almond cake, carrot cake or lemon ricotta. Your choice!!

I wondered about a cuff with the jeans. And the rust top is great with crops. I have worn it that way twice. Thx Angie and Bonnie.

Brooklyn this top would suit you. I like it with skirts too. Quite versatile but a bit fragile.

I don’t think the pink sweater is dated. I think you like more contrast. Add sunglasses to that second look and you may love it.

Red top is wonderful. The pink sweater is nice, but that color is little difficult, I always wear pears or any other white necklace and that solves my problem . Also make up and hair do the same effect.

I like both outfits, and am glad to see you wearing a scarf! I have toyed around with statement necklaces for my online workwear capsule, but think scarves are better since they add interest but not too much distracting shine.

They temporarily closed the local Apple stores. My co-worker’s daughter, a college senior, has been scrambling to find an appropriate laptop so she can finish the semester and graduate. Her Mac broke and could not be serviced quickly enough!
