Your olive leather coat is gorgeous, and you have styled it beautifully. The Matrix looks were fabulous.

Mary Beth and Style Fan, thank you for the lovely compliments!

Katerina, thank you for posting this outfit - you look beautiful. A leather coat is so very luxe and a great wardrobe addition.

Lovely coat, beautiful scarves as always! Hint: I keep all those down vests for wearing over and under these kinds of coats in winter. But I am further south, and our winter is not so severe.

If that last look feels a bit off, it could be in the proportion. The coat is long and slim, the pants are wide and cropped. If the coat were a little shorter and slightly flared, it would be perfect. The long scarf has it all failing very gracefully. A little bit sinister, in the best way possible.

Bijou, thank you, you are so kind!

Approprio, thank you. I love your puffer vests and the way you wear them. So cool and interesting. You are very good at proportions and silhouettes - not my strong suit. I am learning a lot from you, Fabbers. I think my DH has an old Sebago puffer vest somewhere in the holding zone …. Could be a good layering piece for me maybe

Sorry for not responding for a few days, work has been crazy busy this week.

Katerina, it’s very kind of you to say so, but you do yourself a disservice. And most of what I’ve learned about these things I’ve learned from people here.

To return to the look in 5, the reason it works so well in my opinion is the strong vertical line created by the long scarf, which makes the unusual proportion look very intentional. I expect you did that almost without thinking about it, knowing it would work.

Katerina you look fab! I see what you mean about the last one being "dull" only insofar as I know how bright you can go while fully owning the colours ... If that makes sense. So you COULD add something brighter or more contrasting to accent the look, like a brighter bag or scarf, but you certainly don't need to - it looks great to me!
