Our son got married this weekend and we had the most fabulous
time ever!

All clothing worked out well.

Polished casual for rehearsal dinner at a Scottish pub which
was just dressy enough, comfortable and appropriate for the unseasonably cold
weather.

With all my dress woes I ended up with something with enough
oomph for wedding but not over the top.
This is the only dress I tried on that I felt like the grooms mother in as
soon as I tried it on. The jacket was a
must for me as I don’t like showing my arms but more important than that I run
cold. Didn’t wear the statement earrings
as it just felt like too much. Wore a pair
of teardrop black diamond earrings my dad gave my mom and since son insisted my
trinity knot bracelet to match the trinity knot on his watch fob. Even though it doesn’t show in pics subtle
make up that was perfect in real life.
Felt dressy enough to match wedding party but still blend into the wall
which was my intention.

This is not my usual style and probably doesn’t follow my
outline for style goals yet it was perfect and I don’t regret it.

With all our intentions of blending into the background
after our speech the grooms party insisted we walk by for high fives. Of course that set off all his friends who
were there as guests as well as their parents.
Makes me laugh now but at the time was soooo embarrassing.
