I can't believe I'm posting something like this again, but after his successful surgery a week ago my husband developed some serious post-op complications this past Wed. and had to be readmitted (via helicopter....yeah, it was that serious) to the hospital. The past four days have been the most difficult and uncertain of my life, but thankfully he has stabilized and is showing some signs of improvement.
What happened was he developed a massive hematoma from internal bleeding, which compressed his bladder and shut down his kidneys. They finally went in and removed the hematoma yesterday when it threatened nerve damage in his legs. He's been on dialysis since then and today is showing improvement. In fact, the doctors are pleased with how he's doing and are hoping for a full recovery.
Me? I feel like I've lived 10 years in the past four days. Please keep us in your thoughts and prayers. I really think it helps to have as many people supporting you as possible in times like these.
Someday I hope to post something fun again! In the meantime, please send your good vibes our way.
