I agree with you, JAileen. Why would Price Waterhouse issue such a statement and publicly assume full responsibility for the incident if it was a stunt? They gain nothing, but a black mark on a carefully cultivated reputation. And why apologize if your company is not at fault?
It looks like Brian Cullinan made a mistake. Sometimes people do dumb things in a public setting and I suspect Mr. Cullinan is taking his place in that group.
