Happy Monday!

I have been trying to take some more daily outfit pictures lately (in the hopes of finally coming up with some descriptors for my style) and just happen to have this from last week. I don't wear much orange because it feels too bright on me, but I like this darker shade.

Not super stylish gray jeans but they get a lot of use because they are a great neutral for me.

Comments and advice always welcome!

This is burnt orange - bordering on cinnamon - and you wear it well! You wear grey well too! It's a slam-dunk with your cute hair.

ChristelJ - good question. I struggle with the descriptors and have not been able to come up with them. In my mind is a few that a very vague like "casual" and "easy". I like ones like "urban" but not sure I actually dress that way I'll have to do a post for ideas.

FWIW, I see casually polished and practical in this outfit ... and something else, a bit of an edge or a non-preciousness about the pieces you chose. Not quite sure the word I mean but will keep thinking!!

Love the combination of grey and burnt orange. Always wanted to try it but never had both colors at the same time in my wardrobe.

I agree with Angie. The dark orange with grey is fabulous on you. You could also see if you like rusty colors or cognac. They are also not so bright but in the orange family. So is peach and sometimes salmon on the other end ( light rather than dark but can be made less bright by grey.)

Fabulous! I like the column of grey enlightened by the white graphic and combined with that very-well-made "pumpkin" jacket. I also like your booties. I am not good with styled descriptors, for what it's worth I see Playful Practical or Polished Casual.

I’ve been musing on the concept of colourful minimalism. Simple outfits with good silhouettes and other style elements, but instead of ubiquitous black or beige there is a coloured garment, and not just a pop of colour. Your outfit is 100% like what I envision, and I like it a lot!

Like you, I struggle with the "word thing". I also tend to be very general and emotion-related in my choice of style descriptors, like "competent" , "approachable" and "tactile". Is this picture you have posted typical of how you normally dress? If so, the words that come to mind are "practically polished" or "polishedly practical".
The outfit and colour combination looks great!
