Has anybody ever ordered glasses through Clearly Contacts (we also have this online store in Canada)? If so, what was your experience like?

Not me, but my niece has for herself and my sister. I think it's best if your prescription isn't complicated, and you have someone to help you measure the distance between your pupils. I would also suggest you take into consideration how much you rely on your glasses. Do you wear them all day? Is putting on your glasses the first thing you do in the morning? If so you might want to go to a store and get all the measurements properly taken. On the other hand, if you just want a spare pair of glasses, go for it.

As far as how Clearly Contacts is to do business with, my niece has no complaints. Timely service, no hassle guarantee lived up to etc.

If you buy them, will you show us?

Thanks Frogmella - I've started my search for new glasses - here's the thread I started last night (http://youlookfab.com/welookfa.....elp-please). I wear my glasses ALL THE TIME (first thing in the a.m. and last thing in the p.m.). I also have a complicated prescription (two different eyes, one with astigmatism, and bifocals) so your comments are especially relevant. I don't think I'd go the online route for glasses but was curious what the experience has been like for others. Thanks for the input!

I just bought a pair of eyeglasses from Clearly Contacts with excellent results. I browsed online and used their application where they put the frames on the picture you upload of your face. Not perfect but not horrid either.

I went to my optometrist for a glasses prescrip and I got the important measurement of where your pupils sit right on the prescrip. For the others I just measured a pair of old glasses with a perfect fit.

While I do wear my glasses and see perfectly I will tweak them a little by my niece who works at an eyeglass place repairing and fitting glasses or just go to my local store for this service,

After looking online for over a month I finally called a sales associate and told her a few I liked but also what was wrong with them. She was excellent finding me a variety of similar pairs with the modification I wanted. Couldn't have been happier with the experience.

I've spent a fortune on glasses previously and the quality is the same or similar. I visit my ophthalmologist in a few month and he always checks out that your glasses fit your face properly and the prescription is correct, I believe they all give this service if you happen to see an ophthalmologist.

However, people have had luck buying specs this way. Granted - I have NOT seen how those specs fit or look.

One of my friends swears by Clearly Contacts. I'm not sure what their return policy is though but it's worth a shot?

I got a pair from Clearly Contacts during one of their free promotions, and couldn't be happier. I used a prescription I already had and measured the PD myself. The glasses were shipped to me in a little box in the mail.

The first pair I ordered turned out to have a heavier appearance on my face than I liked.

However, Clearly Contacts included one free exchange - so I selected another pair of frames and sent the original pair back, free of charge.

I ended up getting these:

The only caveat is that the colour as displayed on my computer monitor is not reflective of the frames in real life - the pictures of the frames by themselves are more washed out, but the picture of the model (which was not available at the time I ordered) gives a better approximation of the richness of the purple.

Fortunately, it worked out well and I love my new glasses (unique, lightweight, and stylish) and have been wearing them all day, every day for a year. No problems with vision at all. And my total cost was $15 (compared to hundreds of dollars for my old pair)!
