How awful about the fires and smoke Can't imagine not even being able to hike!
I braved the dentist a few weeks ago, no polishing either.
Love the bag especially!

Gigi, thank you. The hygienist was going to floss, but I had flossed before I went, so I told her she could skip it.

Suntiger, thank you. Right now the index is 137, unhealthy for sensitive groups. It would be okay for sitting outside, but not for bike riding, IMO. Last week we got up to 245, unhealthy for everyone. When I opened the front door it had an eerie look, and smelled like a campfire. I didn’t want to go outside at all.

You look great, and I'm laughing at your excitement about going to the dentist! I'm glad it was a good experience, and hope you get relief from the fires soon. It's such a scary time. And I'm quite mortified at Joy's experience with her dental office. Not what one would at all expect from the profession!

Great to see you J’Aileen! I love how it goes light (hair), dark ( top), light (bottom), dark ( sandals).
So sorry about the fires. We had a What’s App call with my daughter and hubby in the Lafayette area of the Bay Area 2 days ago. They are well but stuck inside mostly with smoke too, no evacuations close to them though.
But her hubby has just landed a 3-month architecture job which might become permanent if it goes well! Since they couldn’t go to live in Vietnam for a while this year as previously planned this is a very good thing.
Luckily I got both the dentist and the hygienist in when we were in the mostly Covid-free time here, before our recent second wave which has my city (our largest) in another lockdown. No retail open, only supermarkets and the like.

Firecracker, thank you. Our AQI this morning is below 100. That is probably good enough to go for a bike ride.

Jenni, thank you. I hadn’t noticed the alternating light and dark. I was so envious of your Covid-free country. I’m sorry you’re having a second wave. We’re still in the first wave.
