You can imagine my excitement upon seeing this morning's ensemble post ! Every once in awhile I come across a trend or new look (usually from a street shot or a fashion week photo) and decide that the item in current favour is something I NEED to have. A silky/satiny bomber was it, and I bought the Topshop one about two weeks ago on a super-quick blow-through of Chinook Centre in Calgary (where Topshop resides within the Hudson Bay store). I loved it the minute I laid eyes on it, and was even tempted to buy it in navy too.

Anyways , I"ve worn it quite often since buying it - as both an indoor and an outdoor piece. Today, I wore it with a dress, tights, scarf and boots for the workday , then changed into ponte skinnies and a long jersey tank for a publisher meeting (happening shortly! ) in a pub. Yes, that's how we roll in publishing

It's hard to photograph a plain knit black dress flatteringly and without it and me looking like a black blob, but it's a very plain wool knit long sleeved dress- unfitted. I do prefer the second outfit by a mile, but was just as happy to know the jacket will work with a dress as well. I know already that I will be wearing this jacket at every opportunity I can until it's too warm to do so. My favourite purchase so far this year.
