i love this jacket...IMO it has a kind of denimy feel and i wonder if that's part of why you find it harder to wear....i'd love to see it over a white or cream top--or actually a white or cream column of color that would let the jacket be the star....

The colours are great on you ! I think puffed shoulders on jackets are a personal thing. They always show up here and there in designer clothes , but less so in regular priced lines. I'm not a fan personally, but whatever floats your boat!

Your colouring seems to be able to take any colour! I love the puff shoulder and the blue looks fab. Such a timeless jacket.

When I wear scarfs like this, which I really like to do, I tend to feel a bit ‘done up’. I wondered how you feel and do you feel comfortable all day?

Thank you ALL very much for the encouragement, the words of wisdom and all the interesting ideas and suggestions - it is extremely appreciated.

So much of what you say makes a lot of sense.

I tend to dress up even my casual items - with scarves, jewelry, make up etc. I did it also with this jacket. But I think it is very interesting what KKards says - it has a denim feel indeed - I will try with column of cream... Thanks Kkards for the idea.

Krishni, the colour combinations you suggest sound really great. And to try the jacket with jeans - a new idea to me, thank you very much.

Jussie, thanks for the honest feedback, I value it a lot. Interesting what you say about the shape. And the blue colours - I usually don’t combine different blues, I will pay attention to the different shades.

Dianna, I have not tried with a skirt - I try with the few skirts I have. Thanks for the suggestion.

Sterling, thank you, you are always so thoughtful. This make up is simple - foundation, a little bit of an eyebrow colour, blush, blue eyeliner pencil, black mascara and lipgloss. The blue pencil is my fave Estée Lauder, it is soft and creamy and easy to apply. I use the same brand eyeliner in black and ink blue and also dark plum.

Jane, thank you. I wear scarves daily in different ways, so I am very used to have my neck covered. As I often wear scarves “done up”, I wear natural fabrics like silk, cotton, viscose, linen etc. - materials which breath. I like the feeling of soft fabric against my neck. I am comfortable wearing them to work all day. But at home, I take them off and I don’t normally wear scarves the days I stay in all day.
