Today's oldie is my Loft chinos, but all my clothing items today are on the older end for my wardrobe. The chinos have been mine since before I started tracking in August 2015, but only just. They have 61 wears. I didn't even try to style these in a new and different way, I'll admit. We're heading out to lunch at the sandwich shop and then the costume store this afternoon, because my son thinks, "I need a pith helmet by Monday" is a reasonable request. I wanted something uber-casual, comfortable, and playful for Old Town Fort Collins.
Why I've considered letting go: When I first got these, I sewed the pockets shut. It makes them much more flattering, but I hate not having pockets. The chinos have outlived most of the tops (I had several with mustard in their prints) that I used to wear with them. They can feel a little too masculine with the items I have left to go with them.
Why I still have them: They're really comfortable! They are relaxed enough to work in the summer. I like the color, and it's not easy to find. They just keep going...will they ever wear out? I still like mustard and could conceivably add new tops that give them a fresh lease on life.
Worn with:
Out of Print Gatsby tee (2016) - 19 wears
Boden cardigan (2015) - 47 wears
Converse (2017) - 72 wears
