Hi All

Here are some pics from the last week. Oldies and newbies:)

    Photo One:

    • Black shirt - dating from 2014. It is a basic that is my favourite style of shirt (open around the neck). Not quite a workhorse but it is a FFBO. Worn with brand new culottes/ wide leg crops. These might be just flattering enough so I tucked and wore heels to help. Super comfy and a bit of a statement!! These were made by my friend.
    • An old skirt (9 years) - worn to work. Made by my friend who is a designer. I wore it a lot, then put it away for a couple of years, and now wear it regularly (once a month most of the year). I have attached another photo including it. Worn with a new long sleeve tee made by my friend. This outfit needed some work in my opinion - it does have pattern mixing but is a bit boring.
    • A vintage red shirt that my Father in Law wore at the Christchurch Commonwealth Games. Dates from 1974. It was fun to wear it again after seeing it hanging in the closet for a very long time. I posted this on Facebook and Instagram with the back story - consensus was to wear more red!!

    Photo 2

Details of the red shirt, old floral A line skirt, new culottes and new tee.

        Photo 3

        • Brand new dress by NZ label Kowtow. A new shape on me and has already been worn three times to the movies, school events and working from home. I sized down to make it shorted than shown on the model in the find...it was more flattering on me that way as I am not the same shape as the model.....
        • My favourite 2017 dress with knee high boots, worn to an information night at school.

        Photo 4

        • A new hoodie, NZ label Standard Issue. Shown here styled two ways (not that differently though) with a new blush beanie. One includes the new striped tee and one an older pink one (to co-ordinate with the beanie). This is for weekend use, to be layered and worn very casually. It is very good quality and made in NZ.
Photo 5 and 6 - older outfits featuring the skirt (and the same shoes and bag.....)

Sorry about the poor photo quality.

I have enjoyed wearing these older pieces (4,9 and 43 years) old. I have one or two more to pull out - most of my 2010 or earlier items are quite dressy though and it is school holidays, raining and not so suited to my smartest clothes.

I am interested in whether 1-3 look current or not, and any feedback at all. Also styling tips for the culottes!!

        Thanks
        S

PS The find for the beanie shows grey - mine is pink:)
