Gee, we've now been out twice this summer!  Two more times than last year, I think.   Social occasions have taken a back seat for the past few years, for obvious reasons , so it's kind of exciting to have invitations out to see old friends.  In past years, I'd have kept up with new clothes  to wear out, but I'm now literally shopping my own closet for social occasions.

I've owned this linen tunic for about 5 years, and it gets worn once or twice a summer.  Would I buy it again now? Probably not, as it doesn't represent where I want to go with my style, but there also isn't anything "wrong" with it, so I'll certainly hang on to it and wear it when the mood strikes. I don't wear much blue, which is why it doesn't get worn, but today was unseasonably chilly (18C I think) so perfect weather for it today - errand running and a bbq dinner tonight with friends.  I usually wear it with white jeans, but I'm really not feeling white denim at all now. I'm happy with these cropped flared jeans here as it makes the outfit a little less country-club-ish than white denim would .I also like showing ankles and forearms in an outfit like this -adds a bit of polish and feminity to a shirt/jeans combo (at least I hope it does!).

Jeans are 2 seasons old, and you will have to pry my cropped flares out of my cold dead hands as I will never stop wearing them. Ever. Lol.

Sandals are also 5 years old and standing up remarkably well. They get worn maybe 3-4 times a summer - again, I don't wear a lot of blue so they are just extras in my closet. I tried on a pair of black/white stitching ones today (same brand, same style) and am going to see if I can hold out for a further reduction in price before buying them. It's a great platform height that is so easy to walk in.

Comments and thoughts always welcome!
