OK, I caved on the silver shirt...

I just had to try it. And here it is. I will not tell you anything yet, other than to show you these pictures and see what you think.

Aside: sometimes I feel like the wolf pack in The Jungle Book, offering cubs up for acceptance. "Speak well, O Wolves!" Weird, I know.

I did not like this in the link when you posted previously. Seeing it on you has completely changed my mind. It looks fantastic on you! And, surprisingly, it does not emphasize IT tendencies, at least not to my eye. You look very balanced, and it goes equally well with casual as it does a skirt. LOVE!

Well... I'm a sucker for anything silver so I'm not sure I'm the best person to ask I especially LOVE the shirt with the black skirt. I think the skirt hem is just so interesting that somehow it does something to sort of balance the short/straight hem of the shirt.

A bit too shiny for me, maybe the flash makes it look like that? Other than that, I like it and I think you can definitely pull it off if you keep it.

Oh, I'm glad you got that top. It reminds me of a silver mini my mother sewed for me in the late '60s--one of the coolest dresses I've ever owned. Looks terrific on you.

I'm sorry...I don't love it. Probably just because it reminds me of the material I used to make my son's space alien costume when he was 5. I think it's just too shiny to look luxe.

I think it looks good on you but I'm not sure I would keep it, if that makes sense. I don't think it's versatile enough to work into your wardrobe the way another edgy or unusual piece might. Even for fun casual. So I'd save room for something else.

It does look like it is pretty high sheen but that is often the flash. Do you like the length? It is shorter than a lot of your favorites. I think it looks good on you so if the length and fabrication are good for you, and it fits in with your other pieces....

I'm on the fence too - but tilting slightly toward falling off into "no" land. I liked it in your first post - but admit to feeling "not so much" seeing it now . A bit too shiny and futuristic looking. That said, in the two photos, I like it much better in your second version - working a dressier look with it is kind of interesting.

I'm skipping over the other comments so you get my unfiltered response, uncolored by others' opinions!

I like it! It's shiny, but metallics often photograph brighter than they appear in person. Besides, I'm the woman with silver holographic shoes. Which I might need to wear today.

I could see it layered over a longer white shirt with your pajama jeans or other BFs. But I love the styling with the skirt especially. Is it hard to wear a coat over it? Sometimes sleeves like that are really difficult under coats. How does it feel? I think it looks really cool on you.

I love this on you. The only thing bothering me with this is the wide sleeves but other than that, everything else is perfect. I am very biased towards everything shiny and sparkly and have worn my golden top to death.
One thing about these shiny clothes is they look a lot subdued after washing. May be this is dry clean only?

This seems like one of those risky purchases - fun, but is it something you would wear very often? It would be so memorable and for me that's usually a deal breaker. Unless it's very low cost. Then I can justify the CPW more. On you I feel like the silver is nice but I'm not sure about the sleeves or the length.

Does it make noise though? It looks like it might be ... Crunchy sounding. Or make that whooshing sound that windbreakers sometimes make. Which would drive me nuts.
