Burnt orange/rust is my favourite fall colour - in clothing and decor. I've put out my rusty-orange Gurgle Pot (which makes me laugh but I never use it as a water jug ) and have filled it with various prairie fall grasses pulled out of the nearby urban forest. I have some rusty coloured towels for the bathroom and the other bits and bobs throughout the house for the next 2 months. I picked up this little crispy poplin top at the Gap last weekend and never want to take it off. It has a bit of an architectural vibe in that it doesn't collapse to the body . I love a good crazy sleeve treatment Worn my ubiquitous cropped flares (I am on the hunt for a good loose fit wide leg but am NOT going to settle unless it's perfect ). Neelam Ahooja, with whom I am officially obsessed , wears the best vintage Levi's which I now need to have. Anyways, also trotting out my rusty orange sandals, and a leather bag from BR from 6-7 years ago (probably used it twice, ugh) when I was buying lots of their bags on steep discount. I miss the old BR! Minimal/bold gold earrings, also old BR.
It's such a PERFECT fall day here - 20C and clear skies , no wind - and I was feeling so good after the haircut (new inspiration pic attached below ) that I popped into a fav boutique to check on the FLY London sandals I've been eyeing (waiting for a further markdown), and lo and behold, they were still there and now at 50% off. Also bought 2 jersey "sweatshirts" which are the new winter sweater for me. They wear better, look better, and yet are still warm without being itchy and hot. One in olive and one in blush, both from Yaya Brand. It's a long weekend here in Canada, and I'm looking forward to more US Open action, the Taylor Hawkins tribute concert from Wembley Stadium, and the new fall fashion mags on my iPad.
Bonus shot of my Princess Diana goes for a walk , look . It’s the current inspiration for the Zillenials ( DD’s words , not mine , lol)
