Janet got my interest re-piqued in my skirted leggings - which I have not worn in almost a year. They felt a little too light-weight for winter, but I also assumed that they needed a boot for grounding the look so they were not getting worn . Well - Janet proved me wrong on the shoe front. The skirt is asymmetric and plenty long enough both front and back- with minimal cling to my butt. Absolutely suitable for my line of work.

I would like to try this with a denim jacket when I get that sorted out, but today this ancient heavy knit and lined moto felt perfect. It's another piece I never remember to wear, yet have never purged. I'm glad I've hung onto it and it will now be given a spot on my for-key-items-only rolling rack.

This outfit carried me through a dentist appt, and then some shopping with DD. Procrastinating with work and not feeling up to it, so decided to give in and embrace some down time. I was happy and fairly comfortable in this outfit, although was know I was fiddling to make sure my t-shirt wasn't clinging to my stomach. Ugh. Anyways, aside from that, I'd put this up there with my most comfortable and easy outfits and I'll definitely repeat again with different tops and dressier footwear for work days. I took a close-up of the bag I'm wearing right now as I swear it is the best bag I own in terms of functionality , looks, and comfort. It was worth every darn penny spent - and there were a lot of those. Also close-up of my big face to show my current fav jewellery. I'm also seriously contemplating another hair colour change for summer. The red will be impossible to maintain plus I feel kind of dragged down by it. Something is not quite right.

Angie - it's chilly still, and the grass isn't green yet. Totally fine for this weather - in fact, brights would be too much . Re the hair? I guess blonde again, maybe a warmer, colder tone with a brown base.

You look great, I think I prefer skirted leggings with sneakers to be honest, it is the right "tone" if that makes sense. Skirted leggings are fun and easy just like sneakers. I like the jewelry too, delicate but not prissy.

You are lucky that you suit red and blonde hair. I need to get mine heading a little darker again but I am too sallow for auburn (funnily enough my Mum is a red head and very fair, but I am olive).

I really like this and have never understood why skirted leggings would be a struggle for you, with your fab legs!

I love the casual styling with the sneakers, and wish I could do that (I stick with heeled booties because my legs are not so nicely shaped, and I need the lengthening effect to offset that.

Love it on you. Yet another person who can make skirted leggings look like a real skirt. Sigh. I don't know what it is about me that they look like a butt vest, but they do. Meanwhile, I also like it with the sneakers and the jacket.

Janet - they aren't a struggle other than finding the right top and jacket to wear with them . And maybe because boots never felt quite right but that's what I thought they required ?

Sally - you're right about sneakers being the best bet with these . Now that I've figured that part out , I am sure I'll wear them more . And re the hair : you're a totally different blonde than me . It suits you so organically .

Suz- I've lost track of what a butt vest is . Meaning really fitted and butt- hugging ? I did have one pair like that and got rid of them this year . Too junior of a look for me . I guess it's all in the cut and if your body is more elliptical than round ? I'm making that part up , I really have no idea .

The skirted leggings are so fab on you. They look great with sneakers. After seeing this outfit I would be willing to try skirted leggings if I come across them in that length.
