October WIW - fickle spring looks

Hi All

It has been a super fickle spring here. It is definitely a cool one with the odd hot day interspersed. I want to wear lighter clothes but every third day I am back in jeans and boots.

Here are three (plus a bonus) recent looks.

1) Off to a production of " We Will Rock You". Second wear of new jumpsuit. The heels and old collar necklace came out (if you can't do a crazy necklace in a Queen show when can you?

2) Work today. It is cold. Lots of camel and caramel. Hair tied back - I am growing it so I can tie it back for my upcoming half marathon. Looking forward to a chop soon!!

3) Casual Saturday shopping for new sneakers. It felt more flattering than it looks in the photo - super casual. The photo gives me pause though as it is widening........ maybe a more fitted top with these wide crops.

4) And yesterday I realised I was matchy matchy at the gym. Top, nails, Shoes and drink bottle. What a look!! I did post this on instagram so a couple of you may have seen it there.

For those following I have reached my 30 limit for the year - my running shoes needed updating. So I am not putting myself on a strict ban but only buying to replace anything that fails or absolute HEWI's (I have a couple in mind).

Our Spring weather has been the same - coolish with the odd warm day.

You look terrific in the gold and caramel tones. It’s a great look for Spring. Maybe try semi tucking the top in no 3? And yay for matchy matchy. I want teal sneakers so I can go matchy matchy teal when exercising. Anything that makes exercise more fun is worth pursuing!

Yay to that, Brooklyn... I had a fan going yesterday, wearing a T-shirt and today I'm wearing a knit poloneck jumper !

Haha Brooklyn - I think it is my 1980s aerobics side coming out. And yes to teal for you. I might try that semi tuck - it looked fine for a casual day but the photo is definitely unflattering.....

Cee - as long as you are not really in a cowl neck you are fine. Or are you?

My doctor stamped my forehead " safe around sharp objects."

...and the Evil Cowlneck has since quit Twitter correspondence with Putin and Kim Jong, so I'm hoping for a change for the better

It's still a bit disconcerting it still sits behind a large desk stroking a white persian cat while wearing a grey nehru collar tunic.

Loving those light blue sneaks. Wonder if they will work with your duck egg blue blazer? I'm with, Brooklyn. Try semi-tucking the top with the culottes.

Love your Queen show outfit, and the golden tones look beautiful on you with jeans also. I think the third outfit looks good too - it looks different with a moving body rather than a posed photo. Great gym co-ord!

I wish I looked that good in camel. It is seriously great on you. Dare I say “sophisticated”?!

Thanks Jenn - I am enjoying it at the moment. Although outfit 2 I am very tired of (the boots are 7 years old, the jeans are worn most weeks twice and I am a bit over this shape of sweater). But when you work in aviation engineering it is silly to be too precious about things!!

Shevia - I surprised myself with my gym coordination. I am usually quite mismatched:)

I'm loving the camel outfit. It is fall here, and your outfit seems so cozy. Though I'm sure you're ready for some nicer weather!

In outfit no. 3, I agree that a shorter, fitted top would probably do wonders for streamlining the outfit. It's so hard to wear volume on top and bottom.

I always love your hair. I especially like it in the third outfit.

Gigi - my hair is a bit wooly right now and I am keen to go shorter again I think. I plan to tweak the crop look a bit - maybe tan sandals, a semi tuck, or a different top. Tucking would work with different shoes (the pants have a black waistband which is nice but not good for all tops).

Sal the jumpsuit is gorgeous on you. I am in awe - a half marathon - you are such an inspiration. YES you need new running shoes, shopping limits are not meant for essentials.
