Thank you, Toban. I like neutrals a lot, but this time of year, with all the colors changing outside, I seem to follow Mother Nature’s lead.
Thank you Jessiekams! I only learned about bookending a year ago. I also like the lighter boots.
Jussie, thank you. The tall rust boots in the last pic really need to be replaced. I can no longer polish them up. I have been on the lookout for replacements for 2 years. I am glad my scuffed toes don’t show in the pics!
Robin F, IKWYM. I hung all my long pants and shelved my crops (which is how I prep my closet for the changing seasons). Cold ankles make me unhappy. Cold feet are even worse.
Joy the rust cardi is new this year and has had 3 wears already. Paired with the blue dress was a good combination. I received multiple compliments on the color combo at work.
Thank you Always Trying! All of the outfits fit my cozy and comfortable criteria for days at work.
Thank you Cardiff Girl. I do like a nice strong red. In the pics, the cardi is actually a really dark orange. The week of Halloween I will be wearing it with black.
Angie, thank you. I am enjoying dresses this year, more so than ever! I have one more new silhouette waiting to be worn. It has lots of layers to the skirt (flamenco dancer, perhaps). We will see if that one rises to the level of being a happiness factor. So far, my dresses are making me super happy! Ahhh yes, I think you are right. Sheer hose would look better. I usually go opaque for warmth, but with tall boots, sheets should be ok, except on days when I have playground duty.
Laurie, yes, dig into those bins! Next week will have some cold nights, but is forecast to be in the mid 40s to low 50s during the days. Layering will be a good choice. A hat and gloves will serve you well and won’t take up much space. I hope your hotel has a fireplace, too. If not, some of the restaurants do and outdoor fire pits are popular, too!
Thank you LaPed. I am so happy to be wearing layers again. My scarves can now come out to play!
Thank you, Canada. Colors often are happiness factors for me. When shopping I notice colors first and textures second.
Thank you Barbara Diane. Comfortable and cozy are essential and if I can do it with style I am pleased. I’m glad I managed that. Sometimes the balance I am seeking gets tipped to frumpy or dumpy looking. So not the look I want!
