The OBG is the black pants which you cannot see very well. I decided to use these thrifted black Dana Bucanun pants for a thrifted pair of black silky pants due to cold weather. I know the photo location leaves much to be desired. The floral sweatshirt styled top is about 6 years old but can be layered. Here I am wearing a black tank under it but it can take a heat tech long sleeved tee (also about 6 years old and thrifted). This was for my November 21 items.
The pants are not perfect, because although they work ok with this weeks glucose meter placement, they have a side very small zipper and tiny hook and eye fastener, they are complicated when it comes to using the bathroom or for injections, but I will keep them for now because they fit, they are warm, and in my closet for now. They can be dressed up with a fancy top or topper. . I am wearing 2019 grey Ugg loafers indoors. For a topper I used an old thrifted black blazer which fits as well as or better than new ones I have tried. My small bag is Bagillini. From consignment last year. My larger bag used to go to the drug store got DH is a pink tote that was from consignment last year. I welcome your thoughts and am sorry about the photos

Joy that is a beautiful top and looks fab with your black pants. A good pair of black pants is so useful in being the support act to a statement top, a definite OBG winning item.

The print on the floral sweatshirt is pretty and could be worn with dark jeans or green/olive joggers as well. Great look all together!

Slim cat, the is some o.ive green in the print so I will definitely try it with my olive joggers. That would make a useful outfit.

I like the colours in the top - it looks like an English hedgerow with berries and wild roses. Good fitting black trousers are hard to find and these look super. Cute bag!

Interesting that you got a jacket at thrift that fit better than something new off the rack. I’ve had the same experience. Sometimes the thrill of the find at thrift adds an extra dimension of affection for a garment.

Its so nice to see florals in the winter...nice with the black pants, and I’m thinking how great this would be in Jan or Feb with white jeans, a way of starting to think about spring....

Thank you, Minaminu, Jane, Runcarla, and kkards. Yes, this top does work with a variety of bottoms because of the colors. Usually in the fall I wear it with a taupe pair of pants and topper.
Jane. I love thinking of an English hedgerow. Kkards, I also like the idea of wearing it with white in early spring. The dark floral was something I was inspired to add because of Brooklyn’s wardrobe.
Runcarla, I have found blazers really hard to fit, probably because of my sway back and small bust. Other styles of jackets do not seem as difficult. I was ready to invest in a Theory blazer, but none were a good fit and I gave up. All my blazers are thrift shop finds.

Thank you, Angie. I am pretty sure I got the idea to get a sweatshirt like this from one of your blog posts on wearing mixed media. It has served me well and is a pretty good travel piece too, as it does not wrinkle and can be worn in different weather conditions and dressed up or down.

Joy why is it November 21 items? What has the number 21 got to do with anything? I must have missed something...

Jenni, it is just a challenge I occasionally do. To limit my wardrobe for
about a month. It keeps me playing in the closet and being creative and forces new outfit creations. This time I limited the month’s wardrobe to 21 items. It seemed doable and I stuck to fallish colors for the most part..

As you can see you are not missing out on anything. It is keeping me away from anything holiday for a few weeks longer, although I want to wear sparkle and red and green together now. Having to wait makes it more joyful.

I have been repeating outfits or parts of outfits and want to come up with something fun for my little grandson’s birthday this coming week. He can’t have a real birthday party because of a strong new surge of the virus that is tightening things up. Even his school is going from a hybrid ( part time on line) model to remote, which will make things even harder for his parents. This is to continue until Jan. 5. Hospitals are overflowing and everyone fears the holidays. Halloween with some celebrating in large groups without any precautions is already showing a spike among young people that is scarey. Be careful. This could be a long winter..

Sorry for still strugling with the glucose meter but your outfit is gorgeous! Love the floral top beautiful colors and subtle arm grinning through the sleeves (if i'm right) which is a feature I always love on feminine blouses.

Thank you, Lynn. The sleeves are rather sheer on this top, especially at the top where there is some black lace detailing. I need to call the glucose meter company to see if they have any suggestions. I think I’ve become allergic to the metal parts that are against my skin.
