Today I’m wearing Jag skinny straight jeans, plaid shirt from LLBean (not flannel), possibly my oldest cardigan, Converse tennies, and in the interest of going way back in time, silver toucan earrings that were my mom’s. She died 23 years ago, but probably had them for a long time before that. I can’t pinpoint exact ages, but I bet the cardigan is ten years old and probably the jeans are, too. Shirt is at least six. The RWB color scheme wasn’t chosen for Election Day, but was appropriate.
This cardigan has stood the test of time and escaped many purges, mostly because it has kept its nice dark navy color and has not pilled. Because of the rib knit, it skims but doesn’t cling, so it’s always a good fit. While not quite warm enough for super cold days, it worked well for walking to polling place, and added a layer in case we had to stand outside in line. We didn’t, and it only took about 12 minutes to vote.
Have a great day, everyone!
