OBG Boot edition

You are all so inspiring. I have a lot of OBG but except for footwear, they seem to be at one or the other extreme--precious piece /occasion wear or stuff I can't wear to work. I may try to rotate some of them in next week. This week it is about boots. Both my Fryes and my Docs are at least 8 years old and still going strong.

Also added photos with one of the combat boots I was considering. Would love your thoughts--do you prefer the longer or shorter shaft?
And then there's what I wore on Halloween for an evening walk.

You wear stompy tough boots with the best of them, Kelly! Your calves create a lovely shape with the mid-calf boots. Gorgeous curves. LOVE the navy Docs. Different!

I hereby crown you Queen Fryes and Docs - those high quality brands are iconic and stand the test of time. Just like you in pic #8.

Outfit #1 is KILLER, and fun for me to see a top pick in action.

Is #2 the Halloween outfit? Cute! And which boots are you considering? The second shorter pair in #2? Super cute if you are. You wear both shaft lengths well. The shorter shaft is a little easier to wear.

So cute! You look great in those boots. With these outfits I have a slight preference for the shorter shaft but really like the long shaft in the last picture. Maybe it depends on whether or not you are showing some bare leg.

The mid calf boots are the Trinity that you recommended in the snake print. Extremely comfortable. I was debating on those or the Thursday Combat. I'm going to see how this height works with some of my other skirts/dresses before I commit. Honestly, I've been very drawn to the black combat boots that are very popular amongst the European IG'ers and admit to being swayed by their style (probably partially due to feeling kind of bored style wise...) The Trinity is quite polished and streamlined, I think. The Thursday, a little less so. @Joy, DD prefers more leg to show so she prefers the shorter shaft

Angie, #4 is the Halloween outfit--out on an evening walk. I'll gladly take the title Queen Frye and Doc! They really do hold up well--all I do is clean and condition at the end of every season. I never do anything else!

I like the shorter boots more with the first dress, probably because it's sleeveless and lighter color. I like the taller boots with the other 2, probably because they look more wintery.

@Angie: Yes, I was debating on ordering the Thursdays but was hesitating because I wasn't sure how versatile that shaft height would be--or if I was just being seduced by IG (haha.) They should be around 6"--the same as the Trinity.
@Suntiger: That signs cracks me up! It's true, I don't know why people walking their dogs in nature feel like it's ok not to pick up the poop. I guess they figure it's not the same as someone's yard?

Love the Docs and Fryes on you! I have seen Thursday combat boots on other threads and do like them a lot but that is just from looks. I like your hair too!
