Nude Hose with a casual Dress.

Hi All!
Now the cooler weather is coming here I wanted to try nude hose with this newish short sleeved dress.
Bonus was the shaping effect of the 'control top'. Funny thing with stockings is that I always have to 'size up' to get them to fit, though I am average height!
Animal Bomber jacket- Sussan
Stripe Dress- Country Road
Black lace Oxfords- Rivers

Lyn this is lovely. I can't see the animal print on my screen but will check on my desk top later. Didn't know Sussan had bomber jackets...hmmm. Are your oxfords matte look or suede! I have the suede and I think they are the same as yours:). This is a really nice Autumn look and I am a big fan of nude hose. The o xfords are unconventional here and for me that makes the outfit. What did your girls think? do they realise just how cool and stylish there mum is?

Thank-you Deborah- the oxfords are matte with a small heel-very comfy!
I saw this jacket on their web-site styled with a stripe dress and pinched the idea.
My girls think I dress differently from other ladies my age, but only comment on things they don't like!!

The whole look is wonderfully fresh. About sizing up in stockings, I heard someone who dresses the stars once say on a talk show that everyone should size up and that most women should get queen size, that they will be comfortable and last longer. I even tried it and, while comfortable, they didn't look very sheer. Maybe this works better with tights. I also worried that they would end up around my ankles at an embarrassing moment, but queen control tops stayed put...thank goodness.

Hose must be sized like swimsuits, lol. I've always found that if I follow the size chart, I can never quite get the crotch up all the way, lol!

I love this look on you. You fab ladies are making me want to try nude hose before it gets too hot! That is a beautiful striped dress. You're rocking the oxfords too.

Karie- great idea about layering to wear as a skirt- I will try this.
Joy-our largest stocking size here is called 'extra-Tall', and I usually buy Tall, and still sometimes find the crotch too low.

Thanks Angie- I can't remember the last time I wore nude hose, and I am so glad you reminded us that it is PERFECT for extending the wearability of dresses in Autumn/Spring.
