Oh, so much travel foregone.
1. MARCH: Missed retreat in BC at beginning of social distancing. Will it happen later? Perhaps -- but not until the autumn at earliest. (Work)
2. MAY: Missed conference in Toronto and research trip in Ottawa/ Kingston in May. Conference cancelled and won't be rescheduled for at least a year. If then. Research possible (maybe?) in the fall or next spring??? (Work)
3. JULY: Missed fellowship at Banff. Will I get another chance? Doubtful. Conferences are going to be off the table for a long while. (Work)
4. AUGUST: Missed family trip in BC with visiting relatives from Spain and Israel. They won't be coming and we won't be taking them places. (Family)
6. SEPTEMBER:. Presentations in Northern Ontario cancelled. (Work)
7. DECEMBER: Conference in New Zealand cancelled. (Work)
That's only my own proposed trips plus one family get-together at our place with from-afar relatives. Mr. Suz had other plans not listed here. Also cancelled.
We have been putting effort and time (and of course $) into the new house, but we would have done that anyway. It is really difficult to know what might happen in place of what we had planned -- it all depends on how things play out. We are hoping family members who live in Canada might be able to visit us later this year, but even that is unclear at this point.
So, anyway, I'm going to get an ebike and ride around on it a lot. And Mr. Suz might join me.
