Okay, I'm done shopping for 2021 for real now.  Final tally: 8 essentials and 8 SSEs, plus a small number of sleep/gear pieces.

Right at the end of the year, I added these two floral pieces. The Peruvian Connection piece looks like a jacket, but the fabric is less substantial (more like a sweater), which is great for Southern California winters, even though it's a wool/alpaca blend. It will be an outdoor winter coat here. The background is actually navy blue rather than black, which made me pause, but not for long. Honestly, I think it's so dark it doesn't really matter.

The Gudrun Sjoden vest should get even more wear as a layering piece here. It's a cotton knit.

Both pieces can be worn inside out if I'm okay with the visible seams, which I am. They're neatly done on both items.

Project "dress like a 60s rock star" continues. What drew me to these two items was the potential for raucous pattern mixing, but also the ability to toss them on over my black essentials when I'm feeling less bold, but still want to liven things up.

I attached pics of my 2021 style mood board (photo 1) and my in-progress 2022 style mood board.  I think the difference is pretty obvious, but I still love everything on the 2021 board. I envision my style as a continuum between these places, depending on day and mood.

The rest of the images are me in the new pieces and some new look WIWs.
