November challenge:SYC week 2

Winter hit early-we had a cold week and our 1st freezing rain commute. And our 1st snow. This week’s outfit reflect dressing for the weather
#1 Monday. Cold-but dry. I’d posted this outfit a couple of weeks ago as a might wear. Got positive responses and it was finally cold enough.
#2 Tuesday I think this looked better IRL, but still not great. May try belting the sweater next time
#3. Wednesday My fav of the week
#4/5 Thursday inside & outside version. Comfortable outfit for a busy work day
#6 Friday. I feel like the white boots help elevate this outfit (for Friday the white boots were carried into the office and wore the bean boots for the commute)
#7 last Saturday for errands

This week has a nice mix of new for this season, old-stuff from 4ish years ago, and items from last year.

kkards, wow seven great looking outfits. Love everyone of them on you. I guess no 6 is my personal favorite I like v neck tops and I love the color of it a lot also.

These are terrific! I love the cropped button front jeans with the fair isle and white booties the best. So fun and fresh! Also really drawn to both renditions of the striped sweater--great low key outfit. Totally up my alley and the one in 7 too. I would totally wear those. You look fab!

I like the Fair Isle sweater with the pointy white boots. It is a nice surprise as most people treat that kind of sweater as "Very casual."

I also think the long-sweater outfit looks just fine. But I hear that adding a belt to the layer UNDER the sweater can help to indicate shape, without creating bulk/smushing problems. I haven't tried it yet myself.

Angie--(blushing)....thank you so much...i really feel that the last year or so things have started to click for me and my outfits have come together so much better and i've found that sweet spot of balancing trends and classics. and thanks to you and YLF, i've become a white jeans in winter proselytizer.

Jessikmas, yes i can see how a belt under a bulky sweater could do that...i think i could have gotten the same effect with skinny jeans and a shorter shirt faux tucked, which is how i will probably wear this sweater the next time

kkards, YES. You've found your style groove - and on top of the dress code change at work. WELL DONE. It's a treat to see your outfits again. I've missed up.
