Today has been a day of vigil for those tragically killed in the recent mass shooting in Nova Scotia. We were encouraged to wear red in solidarity with the RCMP who lost an officer and with the people of Nova Scotia as they grieve.

I realized I could go one step further, and wear my Nova Scotia tartan kilt. I wondered if it would be too clashy with the red, but there is actually a skinny red line inside the yellow stripe, but you can't see it especially if you are 6 feet away!

I live in the neighbouring province of New Brunswick. My workplace is less than 10 minutes from the border. We are all devastated, that this terrible thing has happened, and to the kindest, most generous people anywhere. My heart goes out to them. Condolences especially to our YLFers from Nova Scotia.
