... a springy stripe dress!:-)
I so wanted one of those Bayley's dresses some of you sport here on YLF but that never rise it's head by us. This is a jersey dress, found on the weekend, and is a win for me as has 7/8 sleeves, and think can wear to work.
I was a little hesitant: are the stripes running enough of flatering for me? but then decided flatery has not always to be my first priority!
Team wear now, so I wore it today to the office.
I also styled it a bit too colourful and maximal for the neutral and minimal me, and took a risk with the new purple collarless, chanelesque, cotton jacket, yellow bag and 1" balett flats. Also some statement mint beads there. Thus, once in the office the purple jacket went off, bag on my side, so think the beads were more bearable with it so.
What do you say, shall I step back or do more colourfull outfits?

I think you look amazing in that dress! I love my jersey dresses for travelling. No ironing, just wash them in the hotel sink and hang it up. The purple jacket makes it pop! Keep doing colour!

Great dress! And no, even with a purple jacket and yellow bag it was not too much IMO because dress itseld reads pretty neutral.

I love that color combo on you and while there may be too much going on for you, I think you were successful with this outfit. It looks very nice without the jacket as well, but definitely not the same "pow" of color.

I think the dress looks great on you. I also think all the colors look good together and with the dress. I'm sort of color averse too, so I can understand how you might feel somewhat overwhelmed.

This is a lovely dress on you, Lyn. I like how you've styled it with the jacket. You could even try it with a leather or obi-style belt for a little contrast at the waist.

In the meantime - what a great find, it has integrity of its own. Great way to style it, I love all the pops of color and I also love seing your eyes.

Thanx y'all, it seems the purple jacket/and the faux Bayley's stripe dress will get a ton of use around my office:-).

Shannon&Sveta: My simpathy for your not colaborating wheather. It's full spring here, finally: we expect even 25°C this weekend and am bare legs from last week on all the time...:-)

Suz: Yes, as I do not really have luck in the pants department, I tried to make my chance in other dpt's. I only have 3 spring pants at the moment(white ankle length jeans, navy chinos with a slounchy like fit, and a skinny khaki) so not a big fun with them. In fact, I really cannot put together a pants outfit and achieve enough of a polish for my liking and as you other ladies can do with so ease...(perhaps white jeans, achive that for me sometimes, only) but will try to make more posts in the future with pants, too.

Nancy: I too wanted, but I cannot do obi, or another belt, as the dress has it's own 2 ties, starting wide on front sides, tieying on each other on front and then getting slimmer on sides and back-and tieying again on back (or front, if wanted)- I don't know if my poor description makes sense but in fact, all together looks quite like of a self fabric obi belt.

This is a gorgeous look, I love the different sizes of the stripes and how the pattern is broken up with flashes of yellow. A great find.

What a lovely dress and what great colours! The dashes of yellow, a fuschia jacket and turquoise necklace make for an unusual combo, but it absolutely works. I'm going to take notes!
