I tend to overbuy jeans, like a few other categories in my wardrobe, and this year am putting the hammer down . Jeans only get worn until the end of May or early June , and not again until September - have to be realistic. I'm also not very experimental nor trendy with my jeans - but I do want to look current and like I've seen the inside of a clothing store recently (as someone said to me and I've loved the expression ever since) . These will be my blue denim pick for S/S, and I'm also in the market for some white denim, which is where I might go a little trendier.

These are the Gap High Rise Cigarette, with prefolded cuffs for us dolts who can't get a decent cuff going. They are nicely comfortable yet girdling (which I do need) and have that looser leg I was after. Hits my price point comfort zone for denim- so winning all the way around.

First outing with a new oversized striped shirt - I NEVER wear shirts, but this one is great: an oversized fit I can reign in with tying the front, a long back for some style interest, and it doesn't look like a saggy, wrinkly mess after an hour of wear. Plus striped oversized shirts are trending - haha. I may never take it off.

Bare ankles! Yep - it's that time again. Extraordinarily warm here for early March and I'm taking full advantage. Platform sneakers from NAS a few seasons ago - Janet has them too. Quilted little black coat from GAP that I pull out once in awhile. Teal print silk scarf, teal bag, and teal suede earrings . Yes, these earrings are arguably cartoonish, but there's no accounting for some people's taste, is there?

p.s. I really miss wearing lip colour.
