I'm not sure what I learned, if anything, to be quite honest. I know, I know, I was the one to suggest the whole thing. I guess I like to change things up a little naturally, so it wasn't really any struggle. I did take note of how many items I used:
7 pants (2 lounge/leggings)
5 shorts (2 lounge)
4 skirts (1 lounge only) 1 not pictured from Jax trip
2 tunic dresses
3 jackets
3 sweaters - 2 pullover, 1 cardi
9 short slv tops
5 tanks
2 camis
(not including the race shirt or lounge only purple hoodie)
6 sandals
2 boots/booties
1 sneakers
1 ballet flats
(oh and the one purse for several years now - purple Fossil)
At quick glance I can see that I do indeed use as many bottoms as tops, as I'd figured when doing my 'how many do I need' post. Temps ranged from 60 to 85, so I got to use a variety of silhouettes for bottoms.
If I had to say I learned something, it was that my 'in house' capsule does need as much attention as my outside wear. Also that I find cardis make me feel frumpy and conservative unless styled just right. Maybe I just need funkier, asymmetrical cardis
What I already knew - paring down my color palette makes me both happy and my clothes work together much better. I'm surprised that 4 colors and some neutrals totally appeases me. 3 years ago I would have cringed at the thought.
That's about it. Maybe I still have brain fog from sickness . . . I'll be curious to see what some of the more eloquent ladies have to share of their experiences.
