1) Wore Saturday night to the theater to watch a production of Tommy. Is there too much ankle scrunch?

2) Wore to church today. Did the colored necklace help make it more day or is it still too dark?

Marvelously sleek and simple, AJ! I like the ankle scrunch with the heels, but it's a bit much for the flats, perhaps. What about unzipping the bottoms just a bit to let them fan out a touch?

I often wear the same outfit twice in a weekend! Particularly when I'm around different sets of people!

These outfits are fantastic on you, AJ. I think the scrunch is cool-looking. What a chic look to take in an evening show. The day outfit looks great, too--the closed shoes, straight-leg pants, and necklace all take it nicely into daytime territory, to my mind.

You look beautiful in both versions! I love what a simple change in accessories can do! (and, a slight change in the black pants - from slouchy track to straight leg.) Perfect!
In answer to your question about there being too much scrunch in you 'Tommy' outfit - did you try unzipping them just an inch? - to see if that would take the scrunch factor down just a notch? I do that with mine a lot when I feel like that scrunch is just a little much.

Thanks all for the positive feedback! Even though i am not used to the faux tuck, I really felt good in #1 and hubby said he really liked the outfit too!

Bella, I considered a contrasting shoe, but I really liked how the dark shoe plus slim pants made my legs look long. I'm right under 5' 4", so any chance to feel tall, I'm taking!

Alaskagirl and Alana in Canada, actually the top, clutch, and watch stayed the same. I did change three items: necklace, pants, and shoes.

Beth Ann and Marley, I did consider unzipping the ankles a bit in #1, but I only like that with pointy shoes. Also the unzipped version looks a little sloppy to my eye when sitting, which I was going to be doing a lot of at the theater. Although I guess no one would have noticed much in a darkened theater, LOL!
