Hi Fabbers,

I am styling my new tweed skirt today. I enjoy wearing my black tweed skirt with faux leather trims a lot, so decided I should also get a brown one to go with my leather jacket.

I'm wearing it here with the same boots & scarf, but different jackets. I like it best with the leather jacket.

I like the skirt best with a black slim belt, but also tried on a tan belt with tassle to add a fun,festive touch.

All comments & inputs welcomed. Which jacket do you think looks best on the skirt?

Fun skirt! Fav pic is 1 without a jacket, but I do like how you style it with a black jacket left open. Because of the skirt's flare and the nips in stitching, I would style the skirt with a tighter jacket. The brown jacket is a nice fit, but I find the colour competes with the colour of the boots, and diminishes the colour/texture of the tweed.

It is a fab skirt on you Manny. I like all versions, but, I do see Gradfashioista's point. I'm wondering if you should keep the first look with the lovely leather jacket to just the two brown items and try black boots perhaps. The outfit with the black jacket it makes it only two main brown items and I think I may prefer that, the scarf works really well though...love it.

Omg, so pretty! I love the new skirt without the jacket and the one with the black quilted jacket equally. SO fab. All of these outfits are great though. What a versatile skirt!

I like it with both the black and berry jackets, and it is great sans jacket as well. I think the black jacket is more urban, the berry more "British preppy". I don't love it as much with the brown leather as it seems like too much brown. (But keep in mind I like contrast!)

I have a really similar skirt. Haven't worn it this year as its feeling a little tight but I have some old outfit pics with it that I can post for you later if you like....

Thanks everyone. Diana - that would be great. I'd love to see how you styled your skirt.

I agree that when I look at pictures, the skirt plus those boots plus the jacket is a tad much.

I think Gradfashionista is right in saying that the brown leather competes with the tweed. I think black would be my goto jacket then, as I like the idea of a black & brown outfit.

I'll also try a blazer instead of the jacket. Might create better proportions as my blazers are tighter.

I love garments that prove to be exceptionally versatile players in a wardrobe. This is just such a skirt. It plays well with everything; the style is fresh and current. I like it with the red jacket and the quilted jacket.

Ok, here are some of my outfits with the similar skirt. I think there are more but I can't find them right now. I think the last three are circa 2012... I don't wear colored tights any more at all but I'd still wear these combos otherwise.

What a cute skirt--looks great on you! I like all three jackets with the skirt. With the brown leather jacket, you might try short black booties, to avoid the competing-brown-leather discussed above. I like both belts, too.
