Apologies for being sporadic in my posting this winter; I still love to come here daily and read about everyone. Here are three new things for me this spring, all discovered from YLF.
Top is the Banana Republic ribbed crewneck recommended by Angie. I ordered it in pink and white. Soft pink is a new color for me this year; I keep finding myself drawn to it and am starting to build a mini capsule around it. The first picture shows the top tucked; pose is weird; DH took it before I was ready! The day the tops arrived, I’d been wearing a white tee under a jacket. I swapped out the tee for the new white ribbed crewneck and instantly the outfit felt more polished. They are going to be workhorses, wonderful for layering or wearing alone, tucked or untucked. I might duplicate (triplicate?!) in black, too.
I saw the pants when Rhubarbgirl posted the capsule from J Jill a couple weeks ago. They are the Wearever Full-Leg Side-Slit pant in a tall length. (Could someone make a Find?). I wish they showed more clearly in the picture. The fabric is soft and lightweight; they drape nicely, and I love the movement of the slit when I walk. I plan to wear them a lot for music performances and playing weddings this spring, summer, and fall.
Finally, I loved the resin earrings from ShopBop Angie included in a recent round up. I was concerned, though, that they might feel uncomfortably large—I usually wear relatively small earrings. So I went to Kohl’s to try some larger earrings and this pair had to come home with me. Believe it or not, they actually felt a little big to me at first, but I’m used to them now and would even try something larger, such as the ShopBop pair. Baby steps...
Thanks for looking!
