Hi Ladies,

Trying to take photos each morning as this process is proving incredibly helpful.

Soon I will try posting a week at a time

Today for work I wore my black and white pencil skirt, sleeveless black blouse with feathering detail on the neckline, and my new sleeveless trench, belted over the top. Minimal jewelry, pearl ring, pearl drop earrings and white watch.

Thanks for looking. Thoughts and suggestions always appreciated.

Cute! Sometimes these give me that where'd-the-sleeves-go feeling, but I think the little cuff at the sleeve opening solves that issue. A chic look!

Anna & rachylou, thank you, I am really happy with the trench. It's a very soft fabric and while it looks tailored there is no stiffness and it is incredibly comfortable to wear. I wear it as part of the outfit, so it's definitely indoor wear.

Rae, I think it was the sleeves that won me. I think they help to create a nice line.

Angie, thank you! Sounds like you know a bit about Australian weather I think this is going to be a very transeasonal garment. I have tried it with my polka dot, pussy bow blouse which I think looks quite good too

Those earring remind me so much of a necklace I have with a very similar setting. I will have to wear it some day to show you.

Suz, love to see your necklace:). I bought the trench in what I consider to a bit of a "young girls" shop here. Some of their stock is really for skinny 16 year olds but every now and again I find something of interest that works for me.

Claire, when the weather is not so hot I can see wearing it with skinny jeans and my black and white polka dot pussy bow blouse underneath.

Anne, it opens too much at the bottom to wear on it's own but I could layer a fitted tshirt type dress underneath to create the illusion of it being a dress...nice idea thanks.

Freckles, they don't seem to have hit the mainstream here, so I'm feeling kind of cool wearing something that you don't see on everyone.
