New shoes

New everyday sandals were a wardrobe hole for me, as my old pair had got perilously loose. I bought these https://www.paulcarroll.com.au.....6?nav=5878 in the leopard colour.
Close runner up were these
https://www.paulcarroll.com.au.....9?nav=5878 but I wasn't keen on the Velcro.

The Bambis have a 6.5cm heel, the Hartleys a 4cm. Worrying a bit that 6.5 is too high for, eg, grocery shopping.

Thoughts? I am in the return window.

Those are stunning! Good choice. Will be versatile too. Although the heel is 6.5cm in reality it is not because of the platform. Minus the cm of the platform in front to get the real height. The platform will provide stability so I don't foresee any problem in that regard.

I like the ones you bought much better than the other pair. Considering that they have a wedge and a platform, in my experience, such shoes feel like the they are lower than they are and are usually pretty comfy. I would wear them a little around the apartment on the carpet to make sure there are no comfort issues.

Visually, I prefer the ones you bought too. More versatile!

I don't know how to advise you on the heel height, other than to do what Tanya suggested, and HOPE they work out in real life!

I also like the pair you chose, and agree with Tanya about trying them on around the house, but I would amend the advice — make sure you test them on wood or other hard floor surfaces. Walking on carpet can give you a false impression of more cushioning and comfort. I got that advice from a SA a couple of years ago and she was so right!

Of the two, I prefer the first pair. I think they’ll look great with your hair color. Not sure why you don’t like velcro. I was wearing my navy Naot Kayla sandals this morning and they have velcro. Probably half of my sandals have Velcro.

Thanks everyone. In the shop, I took into account the sole, but I obviously needed a reminder!
Sisi, yes the softness of the band was indeed a secondary consideration

I will wear them around the house Tanya, (which isn't carpeted, to Janet's point)

Jaileen, with Velcro, when it is a spot fastening like this, rather than a long strap (which I have in my everyday office shoes) I find that it wears out. I wear my shoes hard, and want this to last two summers of frequent wearing, so I went for longevity.
Incidentally the Bambi link goes to a different colour than I got. Mine has a leopard strap
