Had a long overdue headshot/promo shoot yesterday and have to show you the outfits and the lighting.

Wonderful shots. Particularly fond of #2 and #3. I don't know a lot about you, but let's see if I can guess.

1. A Brunette Diana Krall
2. The heir apparent to cabaret singer Julie Wilson
3. Singer/Songrwriter who has a secret crush on Lyle Lovett

At any rate, these shots make me want to know you better -- which is the primary task of a promo headshot. BTW --- your piano teacher would be SHOCKED at Starbucks on a Steinway. Come to think of it, Starbucks on a Steinway sounds like a great song title.

Ha! Beth Ann- hilarious. We had Diana Krall's latest album playing during the shoot.
I'm getting new shots for my music studio/personal headshots/shots for gigs, etc.

And yes, a few people would go nuts over the cups on the Steinway- they were all empty, of course.

The main goal of this shoot was to get approachable, warm shots that aren't your typical staunch piano teacher photos, you know? Glad it came across that way.

Tanya: I would definitely take piano with you, as they pictures look like there would fo fun along with the scales. I'm sure you know that singers make truly challenging piano students! Oh, and I'd bring a Diet Coke cup.

It's interesting that you look so much like a singer (who obviously plays, too) to my eye. You are stunning, with a natural drama that we don't often see at the piano. I'm all for more of it!
