I'm trying an insulin pump again... this new one is supposed to do corrections by itself. And I can operate it from my phone. The manual is 400 pages, and that's not because it contains a lot of translations. And I'm afraid I'm actually going to have read it. As a technical writer, I just have to say that's a terrible thing to do to people. Ok. I won't complain anymore about the design of the thing, lol
So the fashion issues. I now have two pancreases - my phone and this pump. I may be doomed to wearing pocket leggings forever. I tried sticking it in my bra like I used to, and it fell out while I was leaning over 50lbs of dough (not into the dough - never fear! - but down my shirt) (I don't remember this being such an issue when I had a strictly desk job). Anyways, I do have to be able to take it out, to acknowledge beeps. They have cases that hang off your bra, but you have to unsnap to access. The case that comes with the pump has a metal clip, not comfortable and bulky. Waist belts are hot. I don't love the pocket leggings solution, not because "leggings," but because the pockets are so low; that means tubing sticking out waiting to catch on something. They, btw, make pocket bras for insulin pumps... but I'm a gal who needs a balconette bra, otherwise gaping.
I'm not sure that I have a question, except possibly if anybody has any brilliant sewing thoughts on designing an easy-access clip-on fabric pocket. I'm thinking of Amazon-ing an all plastic clip on case. Uncomfortable but probably functional...
