Love the new skirt, Angie-and it has pockets!!! Wow! So much gorgeousness, here!!! Not only the killer skirted outfits, but all included: great hair, fab specs, elegant pearls, genuine smile, trendy shoes and some cheeky little doggies! So humbled for being mentioned as a skirt wearer inspiration... You bet will be wearing a serious blush and a mischievous smile now all evening to the end of the day....
Your new big skirt looks fabulous. I added a new one this year, too. I really like the way you style your new skirt with sweatshirts, pearls, and pretty flats. I've been wearing mine with blazers, pearls, and Mary Jane shoes.
ha ha, killer. and one of my favorite silhouettes. loving the dainty loafers with that skirt.
I have been looking at tan skirts, as well. Chicos had a great wheat-colored one, much similar to the smock-waisted ones featured on the blog today. But alas, it is selling out...my size is gone..
Your new outfit formula is fresh and fun, Angie! The skirt is a great find for you. The pants are super with the sweatshirt, too.
This formula and your excitement remind me of my outfit formula discovery last summer: shorts and a blazer, which became my summer uniform. (It will continue this year!)
Sometimes it’s amazing how good something becomes when I try it on a second time. Glad you gave the skirt another chance and are loving it! It’s great on you.
I am LOVING your fashion sweatshirts paired with skirts and pearls! Really everything is great. I’m just really into rock band sweatshirts myself ha!!
Love the tie dye! I don’t normally wear tie dye, but I once had a huge crush on a T. Bags Los Angeles dress that was tie dye fabric. It was a gorgeous turquoise color. (Photo is for style reference.) I still wish I knew how it was constructed to just to sew a similar dress. The dress is from 14 years ago butI love the shape and style that much.
Thanks, kkards! My preppy gene is alive and well. I need to move to Boston.
Ket, I remember that style of dress! Very beachy and SoCal. (Ask ChatGPT how to contruct it). Go Team Fashion Sweatshirt, and glad you're having fun with yours! Appreciate your gracious compliments too
How did I miss this? LOL What a perfect and versatile piece for you, Angie! I love the skirt with sweatshirt combo — really fun and wearable, balancing the dressy/casual line so well. I picked up cropped, boxy Eileen Fisher sweatshirt at the Rack recently since it was on a very good sale, and I’ve only worn it around the house so far, but now I’ll have to take another look at it for possibilities. I gravitate more towards hoodies than sweatshirts, but yours are so good they give me ideas!
Ooh, I love all of these! Such a fun way to wear a skirt. Your ankles weren't cold? I love the short sleeve sweater the most but these are all fabulous.
Thanks, RobinF! It was a warm day, and my ankles felt perfect! (I can wear cotton long sleeved tops on warm days too - no problem).
Thanks, Janet! I am LOVING my Spring cotton fashion sweatshirts, and have my eye on another. Your new sweatshirt is a GREAT colour for you, and I look forward to seeing you style it
I love your new skirt and sweatshirts with pearls is a winning combo. I think in your other lake you mentioned using sweatshirts but not hoodies with a skirt. Why is that? It is a hoodie too casual for the skirt component?
