True to my word, and absolutely no heels

I LOVE THEM. Very comfortable. Perfect for my 37hr journey to South Africa on Friday. 14 hr flight to Dubai. Layover. And then 10 hrs to Durban.

Perfect pant lengths, and the components of my travel outfit. Haven't decided on the bag and scarf yet. I need Sam's help.

Suntiger, OF COURSE with my pearls . I am hardly ever without them. The flights are brutal. We could not live futher away. Hubby Greg is South African. Capetonian of course! His family is there.

These pants are so lovely. It's a delicious-looking color and they even look soft on the picture. I'm carefully studying the PPL... Your outfit looks so crisp and effortless.

But that is a looooong trip! I usually fly two-stop flights to South America, with the long flight being 10 hrs and the short 2 or 3. And I can barely function after the long flight... I can't imagine a 14 hr + a 10 hr... If you have any secrets, please share!

Angie, those are quite possibly the cutest pants I’ve seen you in . They look absolutely fantastic on you . I love the travel outfit ( is this a navy jacket and black t? Can’t quite tell on my phone screen ) . I’d replicate this in a hot minute - with Stan Smiths or black suede adidas . And I’m not sure Sam is very interested at the moment ....you might have to make the bag call on your own . I’d do red

Those pants are so great. I kind of want them but I’ve already been doing the black pants search. But you’ve inspired me to try my bootcuts with my sneakers.

I’ll be experiencing that same flight in a little over a month! Excited, even though it will be our longest flight to date. We’re going through Dubai and overnighting there too.

Lisa p, thank you. I'm SO glad I took the plunge to add bootcuts back into my life. Greg loves them. They feel VERY fresh in this colour and with flat sneakers. The jacket is blue (of course!), and the top is a very fitted black lightweight sweater from BR. The Sub-Pop tee is indeed a TEE that Greg got for me (nostalgia and sentimental Seattle thing), and for day #2 of the brutal plane travel. PLEASE try this look too. I think you'll like it.

Oh, love! I really appreciate the slimmer tops you've chose for these pants. Can't quite get used to the voluminous top-with-bootcuts look I'm seeing online. Your version looks nice and sleek.

Now I need to get out my bootcut jeans and see if the length is OK, and if they work with my sneakers.

Love love love your outfit. The pants look great on you. I am so jealous of your trip. Africa is my bucket list. I told my hubby as soon as I get the diagnosis and 6 months to live he has to take me to Africa.Hahahah. My fantasy is to go in a hot air balloon over an animal preserve and of course a safari. No wonder you were excited to get those pants—they are fantastic on you!
But Emirates through Dubai and you’re not taking a couple days (Emirates gives you 3) there? If my son gets his wish to go to Singapore, we'll absolutely spend a few days in UAE in the way there and back. The longest flight we’ve done is LAX-Papeete, 17 hrs. Returning (from Australia), we had 11 hrs in LA, so we taxied to the beach.

That is a great look! If they weren't sold out, you would have singlehandedly sold a pair of those chinos to everyone on the forum.

I flew to LA-Tokyo-Sydney -LA this summer and thought I would die. And the worst of those was only 15 hours. And I don't need legroom! I am sure the destination will more than make up for the long flight.

How do you achieve PPL with a flat shoe without having a too much break at the front of the trouser? Slant hem?
