Yesterday I was in the beautiful city of Calgary visiting a friend
- everybody and their brother were dressed in Stampede: denim's a must, lots of impressive, Frye-and-all-the-bling true ranch gear knee high fine riding boots everywhere with leggings, skinnies and flower prints (especially with flower prints) - oh! And of course drifter style headwear.
But enough of that.
My friend and I happened on a suburban local mall to mail a letter and I stumbled on... a huge wig store! I became speechess and crazy at the same time, stumping the ground in a hypnotized craze; I almost became the whole stampede show all by myself with excitement. My poor friend had to go sit with his phone for a (too short) half hour while I bought this new wig.
It's human hair, guys! But take the cost I quoted in an earlier post, divide it by 10 and you get the price I paid. About the price of a good air of shoes. So who knows what will happen. Fibers are super soft. And the cap is sooooo comfy! (pics 1-3).
Today, back in Ottawa, proudly wearing it, I decided to get a top to match it, and ended up with this number I would have NEVER gotten with my blond, stringy natural hair. It's a "Lori + Mari" off the shoulders top and looks better tucked IMO. Here with old Talbots Heritage jeans and Yoga Jeans jacket, Ara sandals. (pics 4-5).
So, I don't know where I'm going with all this but it's fun. My Calgarian friend said I looked too much like a madame but nevertheless, I'm digging it and find it rather European somehow. What do you think? Please be brutally honest, this wig was not too expensive and I won't cry over it too long if I ever wake up from the charm. Am I dellusional, or is this a good look?
Thank you in advance for your input.
