New Green Dress (Added back of dress photo down thread)

I like sour greens, too, and ordered a green dress from Gudrun Sjoden which arrived this week. The green dosen't look sour in my outfit photo but I like it so I'm keeping it. I tried it with a black t neck sweater, black leggings, and boots. How would you style it?

Very very nice, Bonnie. A beautiful green, and the dress has a look of a Marimekko pattern. I like it as you've styled it, but my first inclination is always to wear dresses—and sometimes skirts—over pants.

Thanks, Kate. I like to wear jeans/pants under my dresses, too. I'll probably try that fairly soon as it's going to get cooler pretty soon.

Very cute dress! Although not an obvious pairing maybe try it with your docs? I’d also like to see the contrast upturned sleeve with this outfit.

I like your styling! I could see a bright with it too if you have something - purple, orange. Or brown navy or white as an option.

I love a folkloric style, and you look, sorry, so CUTE in this.
I think this goes with any kind of boot, including Uggs or sheepskin booties. Docs would look great. Leggings, pants or sweats, a turtleneck, a big scarf, a long vest…
Only thing I would not pair with it is a lot of jewelry or anything sparkly or too shiny.

This is adorable on you! I think styling over a column as you've done is a slam dunk and would work well with any neutral or even a bright if you're so inclined. I can also see this over a simple jeans and tee combo.

I’d love to find more dresses ( or even one!) I could wear with tights & boots. Mostly wearing skirts & tops instead. Usually by the time I line up style, fabric & color, dresses are too short. With opaque tights I can tolerate knee length, but prefer over knee.

Well for warmer days I’d just slip it on with sneakers. For winter I’d style it as you did. But if your interested in experimenting and trying color, I’d try layering over a purple tee or turtle neck, picking up on the purple in the photo from the brand website

Fun dress, Bonnie! I looks versatile! I'd wear it without underlayers (in warmer weatther) and maybe with my oxfords or a fun sneaker.

I think the dress will work well all year round because it's 50% cotton and 50% linen and a heavier fabric. I've already washed and let it line dry and it looks good without ironing which makes me happy. I loved hearing all of your styling ideas.

I love what you chose! I think it will be adorable in the summer with sneakers too. I have a pair of tall suede boots that might be the right shade of purple to pick up on the trim. Otherwise, I have olive green combat boots that might work. Or they might fight the green of the dress.

Just another who really likes this fab dress on you. You've styled it well, and I like the suggestion of showing a bit of the purple undercuffs as well with perhaps some purple elsewhere.

I love it on you and beautifully styled. I would also wear this dress with light footwear, white, cream and cognac sneakers or boots. For toppers, other than black, I would try a denim jacket or camel coat.

What a great dress! And thank you for the back view. The yoke and skirt pleat add a lot of structure that I suspect helps the dress hang well, despite its volume.
