New Glasses and Funny Pin - YouLookFab Forum

Hi, y'all!

I've had a busy couple of weeks, so I haven't been posting, but I wanted to share a picture with my new glasses AND a pin I bought recently.

The pin says "Sorry I'm late, I didn't want to come," because I'm so introverted and all my friends know it. I obviously wouldn't wear it to go see just anyone, but I know certain circles of friends would get a kick out of it. I'm amassing a nice little collection of pins. I think they might be my new favorite accessory (besides my glasses). I'm wearing a casual dress with a faux leather vest and my velvet flats to go meet some friends for tea. Lots of black, different textures, and thin white stripes on the dress. The pin is light pink with a black print. Sorry I don't have a full body shot.

I haven't worn one for ages actually....(a pin that is) but I can see the appeal.

I was just thinking about pins the other day. I don't have any and haven't ever been super attracted to them. However, I got a couple of wool berets, and I think that pins can look really cute on a beret.

I hope the 80's or 90's style of a jean jacket loaded with pins returns. It was fun. I have a small collection of Hard Rock Cafe guitar pins and another of antique Presidential campaign buttons waiting for their moment.

I also like the new glasses, and your fun curls! The pin is a good one (I've seen the "slogan" pop up on Pinterest a few times, and it makes me laugh each time I see it).

I don't have any pins, but if I came across the right one, I'd get it to adorn my denim jacket.

I used to wear pins all the time -- cute tack pins on a hat when I was a kid, and then political pins and band pins on my bags when I was in high school and college -- but I've pretty much stopped. I wonder if I can think of a subtle, minimalist way to start wearing pins again.

Oh, that's a great pin! I love the idea of a collection. They're fun conversational pieces that are probably helpful to an introvert. At least I can see them being helpful to me. If there is nothing else to talk about with that person you don't really want to talk to, at least there is the pin!

Pins can be very fun. Many years ago, when my brother and I were tourists in London, he wore a pin which said, "I'm nearly famous." One day, on a train, we heard two women seriously discussing who he really was!

In the 80s, when many people were still smoking, a friend of mine used to wear a pin which said, "Kiss a non-smoker and enjoy the difference."

Love the pin!!! I always find pin placement so difficult to get *just right* and then I worry about the holes they leave when I have to remove them in order to clean the garment. Any solution? I have to admit that the right pin can add so much to an outfit and take it from okay to FABULOUS.

I think that a vogue for pins must be right around the corner. I've stared to see a lot of cute pins lately and use of pins seems consistent with the current trend towards badges and patches.
