New Floral Pants- How do they look?

I thrifted these floral pants about a week ago and wore them last Saturday. I had always shied away from this trend, but once I wore the pants (with the white top), I felt good. I also wore my orange peep-toes to make the orange in the pants pop (http://clothesandcreativity.bl.....ekend.html). I also added an orange stone necklace to complete the look. And since the pants were a riot of colours, I carried my neutral bag.

How do the floral pants look? Do they suit me? Looking forward to your insightful feedback.

Dear Asingh,
I absolutely love this outfit! Beautiful, as Lantana has already said, styled perfectly. I have also shied away from florals but they seem to come round again and again so I may invest soon. Thumbs up for thrifting them too! I too find I can buy trends in thrifts shops whilst they are still current and this is a brilliant way to try trends without too much financial outlay.

I was thinking of pairing them with a denim shirt on their next outing (I also have black and blush tops in mind). Any more suggestions?

You look great Asingh! I love the look of the floral pants on you. You could also go for a top in the deep pink shade from the trousers (you would have a hint of clash going on then) and have black or white shoes and bag.

(so I sound less like a crazy person when I list all the ways I found to wear them.

I usually wear mine with any of the colours in the pattern, or a combo of them/ their friendly colours. I've worn white to tone them down, a purple sweater to play off the pink/ blue combo, a pink camisole/ tank and a chambray or purple shirt over the cami, an orange sweater, and a pink & white striped sweater at different times. I always get approached by strangers telling me how much they love the outfit, no matter what. Enjoy!

Diane, I shall give it a try with a deep pink top (but first I'll have to organise my closet ;)). Someone please motivate me to organise my closet, especially since fall is around the corner.

Yes, I'm in India. I bought these from Sarojini Nagar (Delhi). Some of the guys sell quite nice pants which are second-hand/used (obvious to the eye- might have stains or look washed) but ofcourse the seller won't admit (since not a lot of people favour thrift shopping in India). And no, there's no exclusive thrift store in India (in my knowlege). If you come here, I could take you shopping!

You know, given the way your sunnies bookend the darker tones in the pants plus your bright lipstick, I don't think you even need the necklace! (Sorry, am in the minority of one that thinks the chunky beads and thinner chain are fighting each other...but the outfit is great with either or neither, just not both.)

And yeah, fabulous pants AND shoes!

I might be daring and try emerald green or a low-key safari-vibe khaki or olive on top as well. or red or burgundy silk...

I spent most of the day at the mall so the sunnies came off. It was mostly for the photo (which was taken in the sun). Also, I think a khaki top would look great. Must try to find one.

I can't offer much advice because I love what you've done already. Those are terrific pants! And the combination you have put together looks terrific.

Maybe, if you want to extend your window of wear into the fall, you may try pairing the pants with tops, sweaters, or jackets that include the darker, more autumny colors in the print. I see a bronze tone there, if my monitor isn't lying to me. And navy.
