New festive combinations.. and Seasons Greetings!!

Hi All

I have been trying a few new combinations over December, here are three.

- inspiration photo shown earlier that I wanted to copy (not me)

- my shirt dress with green shoes. Felt very Christmassy...... My first time wearing these heels in a while, luckily they were still comfortable (no full length photo just the shoes, hem and bag)

- my version of the pattern mixing outfit. It was a super hot night and I wore this to view some Christmas trees with my nephews and have an outdoor icecream overlooking the river. This skirt is one that always feels very firm and it settles down after half an hour (and this photo was taken 1 minute after I put the outfit on).

- red silk blouse with navy and tan leather. For work. I had a haircut yesterday but I look grumpy (I am a bit grumpy but not about the hair which I like, and feel lucky to have had)

Aside from these I have been wearing my spring and summer wardrobe, and enjoying have a few options. My jumpsuit, white shift dress with bold flowers, and the red shirt dress have all come out to play.

I am likely to be a bit scarce on the forum as I take some time out over Christmas and New Year. But I will check in I am sure, and plan to revew 2020 and plan for 2021 in the New Year when my mind is clearer.

I am praying and hoping that 2021 brings improvements in the Covid situation and the political situation. Forums such as these can help make us realise that from Oceania to Europe to Asia to Africa to North America to South America - we can communicate together and that there are many similarities.

The accessory and colour mix in pic #2 is playfully pretty and makes me smile!

The pattern mix is fabulous and a great look for a hot day! Elegant and comfy. But the last outfit is best because it has that '70s integrity that you wear so well! KILLER fun, and you're looking so fit and healthy.

Thanks Angie - I liked all these outfits and it was fun to wear combinations that I might not have worn previously. I am frustrated by clients paying their bills late for our business - it is very disrespectful!! It definitely makes me grumpy!!

Thanks Cardiff girl - yes it must be very weird to you. Gourmet ice cream flavours are all the rage here - I had coconut cream icecream (vegan) this time but there are flavours such as Roasted White Chocolate with Miso and Toasted Marshmallow and Fairy Bread...

#2 is such a tease! Those shoes! You must reprise your version of the outfit from #1 and post a full shot. I think this kind of maximal pattern mixing outfit would be a really fun alternative to your business style and hope you explore it some more in 2021.

As much as I like macaroons I don't know a better vehicle for coconut than ice cream.

I am not complaining, I love winter just as much and it's fun to see you looking rosy and summer-esque when there's snow here.

Yes, I can see how your combo of red and green it felt Christmassy-especially love you showed us the summer version! I did try on my ideeas of Xmass outfits one night and one of the ideeas which I loved was a forrest green midi Aline sequin skirt with a fluffy sweater of the same color, a diamontee brooche, my chunky white watch and a white pearl cuff on the other hand, and....white booties- (so all was green and white) and have had the same Xmassy feeling!

Torontogirl - these shoes were purchased in Buenos Aires six years ago - tango sandals. I love them!! But I don't get many chances to wear them sadly. Happy Holidays!!

Thank you Shevia. Yes a few traditions are nice at this time of the year - not that my sons and husband think that way really!! I am down to three pairs of "heels" now and I doubt I will get any more as the three seem to cover all my needs- these are my favourite!!

Carla - I might recreate it although I am not sure if I would wear this in February - it does feel Christmassy. I do like pattern mixing but don't have a lot of options to do so. I agree though -a couple of careful additions in a pattern could extend some of my other patterned pieces. A black and white polka dot top could be fun with these skirts. Or the right plaid pants could be a good winter option.

Thanks Suntiger....I don't get many chances to wear Tango sandals sadly.

Icecreams with kids are lots of fun and eating them by the river is a covid safe activity. Although not very appealing in North America in December......
