I don't really need an excuse to buy a dress, but it's been a while since I had a new Easter dress anyway! (I usually sing in the choir for three services on Easter morning. Usually we have to wear solids, but patterns are OK on Easter. So I won't have to cover it up with a shawl or cardigan!)

I've been watching this dress online at Dillard's (Gibson + Latimer is a store brand, new to me) in both the solid green and the floral. A week ago I finally stopped in to see if it was in stock and try on. I fell in love and the floral came home with me.

It is a wrap style dress in a good, lightweight cotton. It's very well made and does not stint on fabric. The tiered skirt is over a full circle - impressive! There are inner ties to keep the wrap in place, in addition to the long sash ends. There's also a small hook and eye to hold the neckline crossover in position. The sleeves are very full but since the fabric is lightweight, they didn't feel super big or puffy in the shoulder.

I was impressed that the sleeve fit onto the shoulder. I have relatively narrow shoulders and frequently the armhole will sag on me. I went with the larger of the two sizes that worked for me and the shoulder line still fit very well.

I'm planning to accessorize with the green vintage reproduction sandals and Charming Charlie handbag. I am also planning to wear a hat, but I need to check which one; I have a green hat but it may not be quite the right color. Red accessories would also go with the print.

Has anyone else gotten a pretty new dress recently? It doesn't have to be for Easter! Dillard's had a lot of great designs. Spring fashions seem to be up my alley.
