cat2, I've loved the Antonio Melani line but haven't tried Code Bleu yet. Rose gold is an excellent idea; I'd probably wear rose gold pumps but my awesome Cole Haan ones tore! I'll probably at least do rose gold jewelry.
Sharan, you're so right about prints. This type of floral is one of my favorites, being larger in scale and not muddy even from a distance. And I like how I can match the brighter colors (the red and green) with accessories without them standing out too much.
Angie, I have a great pair of red summer sandals! I think I would do something other than the green bag with them, and definitely not a red hat for Easter (if I had one). It will be fun to try different ones throughout the year.
And also, your new dresses look perfect for you! It's really awesome to see these lightweight but crisper cottons available in interesting styles and longer lengths.
Suz, yes! I was stalking the green one before I saw there was a floral version! I really REALLY want it. It's a gorgeous green, not too blue. But I'm crossing my fingers it goes on sale before going out of stock. At full price the floral was a splurge.
Suntiger, my mom lived in a cooler climate when she was little and they used to get Easter coats! It makes so much more sense than just an Easter dress. Even here in Texas Easter weather can be chancy. We've had ice and snow more than once in my memory. Not much, but it happened.
Zaeobi, I think this is the first long, true wrap dress I've ever owned. Usually they're too deep open in front and waaaay too small in the hip, so I'm risking a malfunction just standing still. This one is cut perfect! I really want to get the solid green as well. And my hair is actually a (separate) braided headband! My hair is really too long to do wrap around braids very well. But the headband both keeps the non-fringe hair back, and I can braid or bun the rest of my hair up with it while it helps support the weight.
JAileen, that looks like the perfect dress for the occasion. Crispy and breezy. Perfect with flat sandals.
