New dresses?

Do either of these work?
I'm leaning towards returning the second one I think it's a bias cut and is already kinda irritating me when I move. What about the first one? Frumptastic length, print, does it work with either of the boots? I also have it in black same fit and length.
Am on a desperate hunt for dresses as leggings are on death row at work!! x

ETA the first one is also available in a shorter length like the second one, would that work better? x

Gosh, I like them both. I think the midi look is great and I like it with both tall and shorter boots. The second dress looks fab as well. I don't know how you are going to choose ; )

Both dresses look nice. I prefer the shorter length. I think the shorter boots as well. Maybe the taller boots with the 1st dress in shorter length?

You know i have one rayon dress cut exactly like that. I too felt the midi length wasn't fab on me and shortened it to knee-length. A cheap and easy alteration. You can do this with both of your dresses. They are truly fab in every other way.

I like them both, but I prefer the first one on you. The wrap style is really, really flattering on you. I adore dresses - so easy to get dressed in the morning, just pull on and go!

Anya the dress is available in a shorter length which would certainly be easier to wear I was wondering about jumping on the midi band wagon but don't want to give myself a headache trying to style it!

Hi Louise, I really like the idea of the first one in the shorter length.I looks like it fits really well and flatters your figure. The longer length might work better with a heeled pump. I love Marks and Spencer and miss being able duck in there every once in a while. Great frocks!

I agree with Claire - I'd love to see the first dress in the shorter length. The wrap style looks wonderful on you. I had a blast shopping in M&S when we spent three weeks in the UK several years ago!

I love both, but #1 is my favorite. I'm sorry that the cut on #2 bugs you - if so, good move to return it! Are you comfortable enough in #1?
I quite like #1 with the Doc Martens - the taller boots. The proportions look good to me.

You like brilliant in that first one! I'm in the minority here, but I think the midi length looks very stylish on you. Of course you could always try on the shorter one and see which you prefer. I like the dress with both boots too --- the feel of the outfit changes, but they both look great with the dress.

I also like the first dress best and love the midi length on you with either boot. It shows off your great figure. I like the sleeve length best on the first dress.

I like them both! They are very flattering and I like both prints -- they look retro to me, in a good way. I think I prefer the shorter length, as on the second dress, but either pair of boots will work.

I like both of these but the first one is just incredible on you! It may look even better in a shorter length, but to be honest, the midi length looks perfect to me.

I'm still not sure about it with the boots I think perhaps because they're flat? I've got a couple of pairs of ankle boots with a bit of a heel I think I need to try it with those.

I like both the dresses although I can completely understand about the need to be comfortable. I have to say the idea of #1 in the shorter length really grabs me! Be sure to let us know what you decide. Oh, and I also want to see the dress with the booties to, pretty please!

LOVE #1 with the long boots! You look lovely and a little edgy at the same time. The length is brilliant on you, and on trend. To my eye, this is a very Louise look.

LOVE #2 with either length of boot! But understand that you feel uncomfortable in the bias cut so return if you feel that's best. Although it looks amazing, you have to be comfy. Otherwise this frock will end up an orphan.
