New denim (Levis rib cage straight) three ways

Three work looks here - the middle was from at home.

I added these ribcage straights earlier in the week. I am still looking for the right flares or bootcuts though......,

I liked the uniform classic blue of these jeans - very easy for me to integrate. They are a firm fit at the belly but I wanted that. The top is exactly on the naval so whilst I am short waisted that must be more in the torso than the lower midriff. I can tuck but not with a winter cami and a top, and would need to get my proportions spot on.

I may crop them a bit - thoughts on this?

The pink sweater is not too clingy but I had static issues with the cami underneath and it would not sit nicely all day!

The first two photos are in the night so the colours are not that great.

All three are the same jeans? Wow lighting makes a big difference!
Anyway the cut is great. I like the length with the boots - if you plan to wear mostly with sneakers I would play with the length a bit but probably would keep as is. The pink is beautiful on you and the white jacket always wins in my book!

I like all the outfits - really fab on you! The light jacket is great and I do love the combination of white soled shoes with striped tee and brown jacket in #2. The length of the jeans looks good both ways to me

They look good! (Aside: the lighting difference is amazing.) I think I would crop them to the length in pic 1 (where you have cuffed them). But have you washed them yet? If not, I’d do that first in case of shrinkage.

Love the length in nr 3 I love a cropp jeans but dunno, I wouldn't probably cropp these for that matter I would rather cuff-a little more than you did here in nr 1. Flatforms like here in nr 2 are always tricky, they make my pants look shorter -I may cuff there too.

Great jeans! I like that wash a lot. I think you have the same leg length issues I do, where certain lengths end up looking a little too cropped to be “the new” full length, and some are just plain too cropped. I actually released the hem on a pair of jeans like this so I could roll them to the exact length I like. I like the length you have here with the boots. Maybe play with cuffing a bit before cropping?

Great jeans! I like all three outfits a lot. I agree that the length seems a little tricky. I like the first with the cuff but I admit my eye hasn't adjusted to the long-short look. So annoying have a sweater stick, isn't it?

These jeans look good on you and I am amazed that it is the one pair of jean. Re length, I will leave it to the experts. They look a little long to my eye, but I would take Angie's advice on that one, I am sure she will be able to give you her expert opinion on where hem lengths are headed.

These look great on you, Sal. I like all three outfits, and will say that pink sweater is especially nice on you. I like the jeans cuffed with the black boots and down with the sneakers. With the lighter boots, I think they look good as they are, or you could also cuff them. So I would keep them the length they are.

These jeans look great on you. I like all the outfits. I am not an expert on lengths, so I will let Angie give her opinion. I do like how outfits look with light-coloured footwear. It must be the bookending effect. I started noticing this more.

Thanks all - on my phone and off to drive to a town one hour away to watch my son play rugby. Daunting indeed with big boys 6 foot tall etc...

The first two photos are not in great light at all. And it was lateish about 630pm and dark.

I think I will wash and reevaluate the length. Yes Janet - I think I do have that issue where I have had skirts and cropped pants too short or flares too short.

In this instance I feel one inch might make all the difference. At the moment I am off cuffing so I may just go to the tailor ( I don’t want a raw edge this time).

I love the pink of this sweater but I find it a bit tricky to wear. It rides up on my back a bit which is common for me.

I really like the length on the jeans as they are and think cuffing could be an option, but I am not very on trend with lengths. They are a really nice colour, and you have a great collection of jackets to wear them with.
