Thanks to Neelie for finding and suggesting this great little powder blue coat from Simon's in Canada ! I ordered it a few days ago - such fast shipping! It's a bonded polyester (sorry, but ...) that has a very soft felted finish and is unlined with bound seams for a polished look. I couldn't be happier ! It fit my budget perfectly, is not wintery and wooly, and goes with almost everything in my closet. Can't wait to get wearing it! I may look to change out the buttons for something non-black - maybe a horn or ivory button .

It was this hoodie that spurred me on the hunt for a blue spring-weight coat ....even though this isn't necessarily a look I'm interested in expanding in my wardrobe. Does that make sense? I bought this hoodie from a retail client last summer with the intention of giving it to my daughter...which obviously didn't happen. I think it was simply an attraction to the burst of bright and happy colours - what can I say? It sat in my closet for a few months and I finally put it on one day and really liked it - shrug - as junior/youthful looking as it may be. I'm not interested in collecting more pieces in brights nor in buying dip-dyed anything, but it's nice to have one piece that makes me smile

Worn today to drop said daughter off to get her Covid19 vaccine . I waited in the car and played with Instagram filters like a millennial - lol.

Anyways - hope you all are enjoying a lovely Easter weekend:)
