I’m not one for many bags, as you likely know. My last one was a placeholder grey one for 60% off in August 2023, so the princely sum of $24 in the end, when my light bronze one from 4 years before that got ratty. Neither were leather and with daily use they get worn at the corners/edges. Grey one now ratty, for donation or trash, not sure yet which.
I’ve been hankering after an olive one for a year or so. I had seen a NZ designer bag by Saben but not sure of it being perfect and at over $300 wanted it to be! I have never paid that for a bag! It was leather. But in a shop a PU one for over $100 caught my eye. I have never had a guitar strap either, maybe the last Fabber not to! But so pretty with a NZ nature inspired pattern. Of course I vacillated…but when my very generous UK sister heard on a birthday phone call that I was interested she ordered it and it turned up! It’s a wee bit small but I am adjusting. I have 2 other bigger ones for the odd occasion and some totes.
Brand is Flox, an NZ artist. Polyurethane not leather and designed in NZ but made in China… 2 strikes against regarding the environment. Oh well. Such a kind gift. Pics 1/2.
Today I am wearing some very old items for some last warm days. 1997 shirt and 2013 purple camisole which are not even on the clothing lists. White linen shorts 2021 Ezibuy 78 wears.
2018 gold thread sandals on last legs 70th wear. Teal bead earrings made by SIL Jo. Worn to visit 94 year old FIL in hospital who just had the distinction of being the oldest case of acute appendicitis I have seen in my whole career. He came through surgery well and was awake. I told him he is a tough old bird and he laughed. He’s a fighter for sure. Maybe he has nine lives?
Thanks for looking.
