Never a maximalist...

When I read of Angie's challenge, I decided it wasn't even worth trying. I'll never be a maximalist. The floral scarf is as far as I can get.
This is a uniform of sort I have been wearing lately. Dark blue jeans, heels and a blazer are used for work, a soft cardi or leather jacket and low boots for play.
I am wearing this to go have an ice-cream with LO. It's a beautiful day here...

I'm with you, probably not a maximalist. Although I have a lot of maximal type items I generally put them together in the most minimal way. Go enjoy your ice cream!

I like the floral scarf with the high contrast black and white. A nice take on minimally maximal.

Well never say never! To go the next step on the road to maximal - add a belt and a statement handbag. Personally I love statement handbags...a major weakness of mine.

That's a maximal scarf with its tassles. It works well for adding a bit of maximalism. It looks great on you, as does the whole outfit.

Thanks ladies. Unfortunately I don't own a statement bag-yes, I am that basic.
But next time I can wear the scarf with a striped top for maximum maximal effect.
The ice-cream was delicious. Little girl was wearing a white jacket, which now is waiting in the laundry pile...

I'm glad you enjoyed the ice cream - but small people, white jackets and ice cream is a hazardous mix!

great outfit! I am the opposite, I will never be a minimalist. I think we know and need to listen to ourselves. Sometimes it'sf fun to try something new just to see. Our rejection is just confirmation that we are on the right track for ourselves. I do think one fun way to add more maximal pieces is to play with pieces that have texture, is that something worth giving a shot?
